Black ink on a sewing pattern paper
Edition: 1/1

Alpár’s forever innovative aspirations and intentions can be discovered in the artwork entitled Riches of Details. The fashion magazine Burda, founded in Germany in 1950, was trendy in post-socialist countries, including Hungary where Alpar was born. In the magazine, you can find sewing or tailoring patterns. These patterns give the basis to Alpar’s work. His 2018 series focused on this type of technique. Non-figurative elements are painted with black ink, allowing the original structure to define the finished work. The work thus carries constructivist and cubist features.
