Jellyfish, 2020

During my regular sailing, we often see jellyfish in the sea. The experience of this inspired my work in 2020. The essence of my new, developed technology is to iron heat-fixing inks leftover from printing on beer cardboard. I rely on the role of chance in shaping the colors whose dynamics make the image vibrate. The basic colors evoke the atmosphere of the depths of the sea, along with the barely visible, hiding creature that lives in it. The animal, which tends towards the surface of the water, thus constantly floats on the border of visibility and invisibility. As a sensitive organism, jellyfish react immediately to environmental pollution, so my work also draws attention to the importance and protection of water purity.
