Reflection, 2018

The artist aims to recreate the experience and atmosphere of the sunset. On the canvas, we can follow as soon as the peculiar impression of the Italian coast becomes eternal. Looking at the picture, we can experience one of the distinguished moments of the alternation of day and night, light and dark. We can share the boundary line, whose lights and experiences come to life and then mobilise our memories. The warm colours of the setting sun, reflected in the sea, create a pleasant visual world, yet the eternal vibration brings the image to life. The different shades of base colours, yellow, blue, and red, blend into each other like the sunset colours, complimenting each other harmoniously. The artist does not intend to see the horizon because its significance dwarfed by the feeling that the nascent impression returns. The oil-painted image allows the artist to reach into the still-drying work, to shape it continuously.
